Our new automation system goes online on May 9th!!	In March, Library Director Bryan J. McCormick visited with one of our 2003 Open World Participants, Marina Soldatikhina and presented her library with $250 for new materials.

Recent Events!

On Friday, Jan. 21st, Warren Hanson visited the Martin County Library, and it was a great event! Warren proved to be an excellent speaker, entertaining an interested group with his work as an author, illustrator and musician. Particularly interesting was his method of doing research for a new children's book: sitting down and asking Kindergardener's important questions such as "What does the President do?" and "What does the President wear?"

After discussing his books and telling stories, Warren took a moment to chat with individuals and sign copies of his books that he had for sale.

While visiting the National Library of Chuvashia in March of 2005, Bryan J. McCormick gave a brief presentation about Intellectual Freedom to a group of Alumni from the Open World program.
