MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, ARKANSAS CLERK OF COURT OFFICE
The County Clerk acts as the county’s official bookkeeper and clerk for the county, quorum, and probate courts. According to the Arkansas State Constitution, the County Clerk is elected to a four-year term of office with the prerequisites of being a registered voter and a county resident. If there is a vacancy in the position, the quorum court appoints a replacement who will serve until the next general election, at which point they will be elected.
