RECORDS SEARCH AND PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST
The state of Kentucky provides a free database to search judicial court records. Records from all counties can be accessed. The name on the record or the case number is needed to make a search.
Land, deed, and property records can be searched online using the state’s 3rd party provider called KLR. The records can be searched using the name on the document, the parcel number, or the address of the property.
For all other records, a record request form can be submitted to the clerk’s office. The state’s attorney general provides a generic form for download. The form requires information on the record being requested and the requester’s contact information. Once the form is completed it can be submitted in person, by mail, or fax.
