The clerk is responsible for filing and maintaining all records pertaining to the judicial court. In addition to overseeing official court records, the clerk is responsible for attending juries in the courtroom. The clerk handpicks members of the jury and confirms oaths and affirmations. Duties of the County Clerk:

RECORDS SEARCH AND PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST

The state of Kentucky provides a free database to search judicial court records. Records from all counties can be accessed. The name on the record or the case number is needed to make a search.

Land, deed, mortgage, estate settlement, appraisals, marriage licenses, will, and other records can be searched online using the clerk’s database called eCCLIX. An account must be made to search for records. Once the record is located, it can be viewed or printed straight from the database.

Record requests can be submitted to the clerk’s office to obtain copies of other public records. A generic record request form is provided by the Kentucky state attorney general. A detailed description of the record being requested and the requester’s contact information is needed. Once the form is completed it can be submitted to the following:
