The clerk is responsible for filing and maintaining all records pertaining to the judicial court. In addition to overseeing official court records, the clerk is responsible for attending juries in the courtroom. The clerk handpicks members of the jury and confirms oaths and affirmations. RECORDS SEARCH AND PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST

The state of Kentucky provides a free database to search judicial court records. Records from all counties can be accessed. The name on the record or the case number is needed to make a search.

Oldham County has an open records policy. The policy states that the public can request to view and receive copies of records by submitting a public records request form. The form asks for a detailed description of the record being requested and the requester’s contact information. The form is available for download and can be submitted in person, by mail, fax, or email.
