Duties of the County Clerk:

Files vehicle registrations, title transfers, and renewals, and offers a database for users to renew their registrations online

Records public records such as deeds, name changes, mechanics liens, mortgages, powers of attorney, wills, corporations, tax liens, military discharges, trademarks, assignments, releases

Utilizes a database to make land records available to the public

Issues voter registration cards, oversees county elections, and honors requests for absentee ballots

Files marriages and divorces that take place in the county

Allows the county to submit online marriage license applications

Collects taxes for the county and uses a database to list all delinquent taxes

RECORDS SEARCH AND PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST

The state of Kentucky provides a free database to search judicial court records. Records from all counties can be accessed. The name on the record or the case number is needed to make a search.

Records filed with the county clerk can be accessed online using their database. An account is needed to make searches on the database. There is a fee to use the database. Users can have a daily, monthly, quarterly, 6 month, or annual pass. Once the account is made and funded, users can search using the name on the document, the date the document was filed, or the parcel number.
