MISSAUKEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN CLERK OF COURT OFFICE

The clerk of court is the official record keeper for the court. As Clerk of the Court, the clerk opens, maintains, tracks and stores the records for all cases filed in the Circuit Court, the Judicial Court, County Probate and Family Courts. Duties include providing for the safety, security, and maintenance of all official court records; collecting and filing, copy, and criminal costs/fees/assessments; and having deputy clerks attend hearings and trials to support the Court in fulfilling its judicial responsibilities. The Clerk of Court is an elected official who serves a 4 year term.

RECORDS SEARCH AND PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST

Records such as birth certificates, death certificates, and marriage licenses can be requested through the county clerk’s office. An application must be submitted to receive these records. Applications can be found and downloaded from the clerk’s website.

Judicial records can be obtained by making a request to the courts and the sheriff’s office. A record request form is available for download. The request form can be submitted in person, by mail, or fax.
